MOD-MACS started out repairing and upgrading laptops for students.
We also export refurbished laptops to developing nations so that basic IT tools can be made available to poor families. During the pandemic, we saw a demand in IT tools as people started to work from home but at the same time, the proper disposal of old or damaged IT tools such as computers, laptops, printers, keyboards started to deserve some attention too.
E-Waste is toxic and mostly non-biodegradable. Singapore generates around 60,000 tonnes of electronic waste (e-waste) annually and the amount of space we have to “bury” is really running out. We want to do our part, and so should you all!
MOD-MACS now take in laptops in all conditions; old, damaged, faulty, of all models. Good news is we pay good cash for it. We either Recycle or Restore and give life to an otherwise, piling heap of electronics lying around that will directly impact us. A big part of of the restored laptops and devices are exported and benefited many children from developing nations.
